We<br \/>\nhave very low administrative expenses, but the care we provide<br \/>\nto the Eskies is costly. All AER STL dogs receive vaccinations,<br \/>\nfecal checks, heartworm medications and are spayed or neutered<br \/>\nand microchipped. Many dogs require even more attention\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lola<\/strong> was turned into a shelter and marked for<br \/>\ndeath when we found her. She lost 17 teeth and needed vaccinations.<br \/>\nToday Lola is living with a wonderful family and has a doggie<br \/>\nhousemate she plays with.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/eskierescuestl.org\/media\/MISSY6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"205\" height=\"257\" \/><span style=\"color: #333333;\">When\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"color: #333333;\">Missy<\/strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0was brought to us she had enormous mammary tumors. We paid for her surgery and follow-up medical treatments. Missy is now cancer-free and has been adopted to a wonderful, loving family.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><strong style=\"color: #333333;\">Brodie and Moxley<\/strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0were turned in t<\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"color: #333333;\" src=\"http:\/\/eskierescuestl.org\/media\/MOXLEY.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"234\" height=\"229\" align=\"right\" \/><span style=\"color: #333333;\">o a high kill shelter in Indiana when their owner got sick. If AER STL hadn\u2019t taken them in, they would have been put to sleep. Both needed medical attention, vaccinations, grooming and dental work. Moxley didn\u2019t like other dogs, so AER STL offered the family training in order to keep Moxley in his new home. Moxley and Brodie are doing very well now in their new homes.<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><strong style=\"color: #333333;\">Snoopy<\/strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0was found tied to an old dog house without any food or water out in the country in Southern Missouri. He needed to be neutered, vaccinated and treated for fleas, ticks and fecal worms. Luckily for Snoopy, the family who was fostering him adopted him.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><strong>Bonnie and Bandit<\/strong> were turned in by their owner<br \/>\nat 10 years of age because their family was no longer able to<br \/>\ncare for them. Both were very sick with stomach problems, urinary<br \/>\ntract infections and terrible teeth that required dental work.<br \/>\nBonnie had a growth on her leg that turned out to be an aggressive<br \/>\ncancer. It required the removal of her leg. We are happy to<br \/>\nreport that both dogs have been adopted to wonderful homes and<br \/>\nare doing well.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AER STL is funded solely by donations and adoption fees.
